I am almost sure about the top 8. Only the order could differe but all of them should definitely come somewhere in the top 10. As for the remaining 2 it can very much change and these are only two of the possible candidates.
There can be some changes based on how the second half of the year goes but till now here’s my predicted top 10 players of 2009 in order.
1. Lionel Messi
2. Andres Iniesta
3. Xavi Hernandez
4. Cristiano Ronaldo
5. Zlatan Ibrahimovic
6. Nemanja Vidic
7. Steven Gerrard
8. Diego Forlan
9. Thierry Henry
10. Samuel Eto’o
Others could come close like Gonzalo Higuain, Wayne Rooney, Maicon, Julio Cesar and Frank Lampard.
